Nepal Wushu Federation Launches National Referee and Diploma Courses


The Nepal Wushu Federation commenced its 7th National Wushu Referee Examination Course and 11th National Wushu Diploma Course today in Kathmandu. The auspicious joint inauguration ceremony, held in accordance with the Federation’s annual program, was graced by the Chief Guest, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Honorable Teju Lal Chaudhary, who officially marked the beginning by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Distinguished guests present at the opening ceremony included board members of the National Sports Council, Ms. Anjana Shrestha and Mr. Bidur Dhungana; General Secretary of the Nepal Taekwondo Association, Mr. Dipraj Gurung; Senior Vice President of the Nepal Karate Federation, Mr. Hari Sharan KC; President of the Nepal Table Tennis Association, Mr. Bijendra Hamal; President of the Nepal Fencing Association, Mr. Sunil Shrestha; and Director of the Training and Coaching Department, Mr. Bishnu Singh. Mr. Peter Yong, a representative from China, was also a special guest at the event, as informed by the General Secretary of the Nepal Wushu Federation, Mr. Nawaraj Dhungana Biswas.

The acting President of the Nepal Wushu Federation, Mr. Shailesh Karmacharya, presided over the inaugural program.
Mr. Fatta Bahadur Lama Yonjan, the Chief Coach of Nepal Wushu, announced that 99 participants from various districts across Nepal have enrolled in the Diploma and Referee Examination Courses.
The Deputy General Secretary of the Nepal Wushu Federation, Mr. Rajeev Maharjan expressed his confidence that this seven-day course will significantly contribute to the development and expansion of Wushu at the national level.
